WheelPad's Innovation Recognized

It is especially welcome and heartwarming to see a positive solution, innovation, and hard work recognized amidst the waves of negative news and uncertainty so many of us are experiencing this year. And growing recognition is exactly what are our friends and partners at WheelPad L3C are experiencing as they continue working to design and build accessible home attachments and ADUs for those living with mobility challenges.

As WheelPad expands its team and manufacturing facility in Wilmington, Vermont, here are a few of the recent recognitions and news attention they have received:

• WheelPad L3C was honored to be featured in the 2023-2024 Vermont Low Income Trust for Electricity (VLITE) Impact Report. 
• WCAX Channel 3 visited the WheelPad® Accessible Modular Home Attachment installed at the home of Marian Price in Burlington for a story on accessible housing
• WheelPad L3C was featured as the example for "Backing Local Ideas" in the Seven Days article "Mission Investing at the Vermont Community Foundation Creates Lasting Impact", sponsored by the Vermont Community Foundation.
• The Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation announced the news of the manufacturing campus in "WheelPad Expands in Wilmington with Help from BDCC, VEDA, and State of Vermont"
• The Brattleboro Reformer reported on funding from the Town of Wilmington to support WheelPad's labor program
• The Deerfield Valley News covered state officials visited the WheelPad Manufacturing Campus As part of the “Capital for a Day” initiative, a tour of each of Vermont’s 14 counties over a 10-month period by Governor Phil Scott.

The need for WheelPad's products is great and here at MPI we're looking forward to its continued growth and much-deserved recognition.
