On June 12, 2025 WCAX aired a story titled "Vermont company creating accessible living spaces for the disabled" featuring WheelPad L3C, and the installation of their SuitePAD model in Burlington, Vermont. The story by Laura Ullman emphasized the growing housing crisis and highlighted the important need to keep accessible and universally designed living spaces as part of the plans for new developments so that more people will have more options to decide where they want to live.
RJ Adler of WheelPad was quoted -
“Our biggest aim is to provide choice for people. As able-bodied people, we have the choice to go live in whatever house we want; we wanna give that same choice to everybody,” said the company’s RJ Adler. “We are in a housing crisis, and there are all types of housing that we need, and I think accessibility is a really important part of what we’re building new.”
