Joanne Single

Joanne hones our clients’ communications (and ours!) with her red pencil and sharp eyes. Whatever the channel, proofing, editing, and translating the complex into clear, easy-to-understand messages for vulnerable audiences is her forte.

Before joining our team, Joanne served as a tutor and English school teacher for honors and special education classes in the New York State for eight years, and as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher in Greece. Her tools included interactive whiteboards, podcasts, websites, WebQuests, and of course, her trusty red pencil. 

Joanne received a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Visual Arts, and a Master of Arts in in Teaching English from State University of New York at New Paltz. A cruise enthusiast, she lives in Colchester when she’s not sailing in warmer climes.
