Caleb's pick for best pet accessory: If someone had told me that a dog brush "blew their mind" I would have said that he, or she, needed a more active social life ... but that was before I found a tool that goes by the unlikely and ridiculous name of "The Furminator." I bought one and it blew my mind. My wife and I have 2 golden retrievers, and one has an incredibly thick undercoat. Other brushes we've used have gotten the topcoat and a little of the undercoat, but not enough to make a difference. After he goes in the lake, it takes him a full day to dry. Upon the suggestion of the kind people at the pet store, we bought a Furminator (at the seemingly steep price of $30) and gave it a shot.We brushed Doc for 20 minutes and had enough fur to half fill a plastic shopping bag, and it was nearly all undercoat. He was rolling over so we could do his chest, and afterwards he was positively jubilant. If you view their website, there are photos and videos of what this brush can do, and it's not an exaggeration. We recommend this tool 100%! |
