April Fools Spoof Pokes Fun of Vermont Yankee |
|
April Fools goes green as the newly formed Clean Green Vermont Alliance pokes fun at Vermont's only nuclear power plant, as reported by the Burlington Free Press and the Brattleboro Reformer, amongst others. Clean Green Vermont Alliance used what PR Newser referred to as "a seriously jacked Pontiac Le Mans" from 1972, the same year Vermont Yankee became operational, to raise questions about the reliability of the power plant. A website, paired with the Church Street event, serves as a cheeky reminder of the advances in technology since 1972.
